Orozco allegedly made claims that she had the power to prevent the victim's undocumented sons from deportation.
Orozco admitted to investigators that she used portions of her ill-begotten gains to purchase meth. From her booking photo, she looks like a meth head, but no one looks good in those pics. So how is one to know when one is a meth head?
The Jordan School District had no clue. Orozco is a long time employee for the inept school district who has employed the extortion queen since 2004. She has not been fired pending an "investigation" by the inept school district. Orozco has confessed to her crimes.
The Jordan School District. located in the southwest suburbs of Salt Lake City, hired Orozco as a $44,000 per year "gang paraprofessional." The Deseret News reports that the Jordan School District states that Orozco worked with Latino youth in the juvenile system and their families to help transfer them out of the gang lifestyle. It was how she came into contact with the victim.
First, she asked for $4,000 to stop any deportations proceedings for her two sons. The she wanted another $1,000 for paperwork. She jacked up the ante another $1,500 for an "evaluation." The victim then paid another $800 for visas that never arrived. It was then when the victim went to the police.
Orozco took advantage of the fears of a vulnerable mother. Orozco extorted the money from a poor mother living from pay check to pay check. Orozco used the monies to pay for her meth.
Perhaps Orozco was running from a life time of demons. Maybe that was why she chose to use meth. But Orozco has great health insurance that would pay for counseling and psychotropic drugs. Orozco had no excuse for her criminal actions.
Orozco had many options for help that are not available to people like her victim.
Orozco also has admitted her crime.
So why does the Jordan School District keep her on the payroll pending an investigation?
This is the same school district who terminated bus service that transported school children across dangerous intersections due to lack of funds. The woman has admitted extorting the money and using some of it for meth. Yet, she is still paid? Are there no drug tests?
She is a thieving meth head!
Orozco works for Student Intervention Services. Its director is Brett Wilson. I once called Wilson and requested information that is mandated by the government to be made easily available to the public. Wilson acted paranoid and wondered who I was. He at first questioned whether the information I requested was actually meant to be made available to the public. Then he disparaged the Civil Rights Division and how they required the compilation of the information I was inquiring about. Eventually, Wilson told me to look up the information on the internet and he hung up on me.
I was compiling evidence of the disparity of how the Jordan School District disciplines its minority students.
Other departments of the Jordan School District have illegally refused to respond to GRAMA requests I have made.
This is typical behavior for a school district that hires meth heads to intervene with gang members.
It is also a racist school district. That is another story. This story is about a meth head who used her position as a state employee to extort money from a vulnerable woman. This is a story of an inept, racist school district who failed to recognize that one of their employees was an out of control drug addict who was ripping off the parents of their students to support her illegal drug habit.

The child of Puerto Rican migrant farm workers, she grew up moving from farm to farm with her nine siblings, working for $3 an hour. At the age of 14 she was initiated into “Los Chiques,” rising through the ranks to become gang leader. She spent 13 months in jail for possession. Her wake-up call was not so much the jail time but the fact that neither of the two gang members she was holding “something” for came to see her. “They said they had my back, but where were they?”
Orozco’s two children went into gangs. After being shot at six times, her son found his way out. Her daughter, wanting to be “a hard-ass” like her mother, shot the finger off of a man who flipped her the bird on Interstate-15. She is serving 15 years. At least now, Orozco says, she knows where her daughter is at night.

You know I am a 1st generation American of Mexican birth and I am proud of my Mexican heritage and culture but dude reality is reality and I have been mistreated more by my own people than I have ever been mistreated by a white American I can hold my own in a rhetorical discussion with both sides and dude believe it or not I feel more comfortable with the the white Americans they share more of my morals then my own people. Friday evening, I received the letter below signed by Janet Murguria of the National Council of La Raza, essentially declaring that the boycott of Arizona over Senate Bill 1070 is finito.
Granted, the letter does point out that the boycott that developed in response to state Senate President Russell Pearce's nativist legislation, most of which has been enjoined by the federal court, has had a potent effect.
But, the NCLR, along with a couple of other groups, concludes that it's time for the economic sanctions to end.

Responding to the letter's release, Sal Reza, leader of the Phoenix-based human rights group Puente, noted that the boycott of Arizona has always been a spontaneous thing. No one group started it, and no one group can end it.
"The boycott was done by the people themselves, when they began avoiding Arizona," said Reza ."The only ones that can call off the boycott are the people themselves."
He scoffed at the letter, vowing that the economic pressure on Arizona would continue from the ground up.
"We don't recognize their authority, period," Reza said of the NCLR. "They have no authority over us."
Additionally, he blasted the letter as a cowardly "corporate move," one motivated by money.
Likewise, Javier Gonzalez, spokesman for the Sound Strike, the musicians' boycott of the Grand Canyon State, was dismissive of the announcement.
"It's a little bit arrogant," he told me. "We take our lead from more grass-roots organizations. We don't take our cue from the NCLR."

Just a day before a recall election between current Senator Russell Pearce and challenger Jerry Lewis, some Mesa, Arizona voters are claiming 'voter deception.' This comes after some received a robocall instructing them to protest the election. Here's KNXV with the call.
"Voters beware. If you plan to vote this Tuesday, you should know that both candidates for State Senator, Russell Pearce and Jerry Lewis, are Republicans. The only other candidate, Olivia Cortez was forced to withdraw last month. You can protest this one-sided election by writing in your own candidate."
Since the robocaller had a Spanish accent and mentioned Olivia Cortes, some say the robocall was targeted at Latino voters in Mesa's 18th district.
REPORTER: "The message seems to try to split Latino voters' loyalty. Do they vote for the man who opposes Pearce, Jerry Lewis, or try and write in a candidate of their own? And if that happens does it hurt Lewis' chances to win."
GLORIA CHAVEZ: "You're purposefully trying to mislead voters, and that should be illegal." (KNXV)
The person behind the robocall, Ron Ludders. Although he claims the message was purely informational, critics were quick to point out, Ludders is a Pearce supporter. The Phoenix New Times says...
"Riiight. Maybe that's why the robocall fails to "inform" voters that Olivia Cortes was herself a Republican, as well as a sham candidate placed on the ballot by Tea Party members in order to assist their wingnutty God, Russell Pearce."
The Los Angeles Times provides some background on Pearce, who was already a controversial choice for Latino voters due to his strong stance on immigration.
"He wrote the more recent controversial Senate Bill 1070, which forces police to investigate the immigration status of people they have lawfully detained. It is being challenged by the Obama administration."
The Pearce campaign says they didn't know about nor did they approve the robocall. The message is currently under investigation, and if it is found to have deceived voters, the Arizona Attorney General will take on the issue.

A powerful Republican state Senate leader who championed Arizona's controversial crackdown on illegal immigrants lost his office on Tuesday in a historic recall election, returns showed. Russell Pearce's defeat is a message to the GOP, say some analysts, that jobs and the economy should be a higher priority than illegal immigrants.

Russell Pearce branded his political opponents as "far left liberals" and labor union activists, and chastised the recall election coming when he has just one year left in his current term.
Lewis, 55, has maintained that residents could not afford to wait until the next election to replace a man who he said has tarnished Arizona's image.
The stage for the recall race was set in July when Brewer, a strong supporter of Pearce, approved the mid-term election challenge after a citizen's group turned in enough signatures to put it on the ballot.
Lewis said the Southwestern state badly needs someone who can tackle immigration and other issues with an approach free of "fear-mongering and political rhetoric," and said Arizona should work with the federal government on a comprehensive immigration solution, not battle the government in court.
